Previous proceedings can be found in the <a href=\"https:\/\/link.springer.com\/conference\/evocop\">EvoCOP Conference Proceedings in SpringerLink<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Areas of Interest and Contributions<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>EvoCOP welcomes submissions in all experimental and theoretical aspects of evolutionary computation and other metaheuristics to combinatorial optimisation problems, including (but not limited to) the following areas:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Applications of metaheuristics to combinatorial optimization problems<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Theoretical developments<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Neighbourhoods and efficient algorithms for searching them<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Variation operators for stochastic search methods<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Constraint-handling techniques<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Parallelisation and grid computing<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Search space and landscape analyses<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Comparisons between different (also exact) methods<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Automatic algorithm configuration and design<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Prominent examples of metaheuristics include (but are not limited to):<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Evolutionary algorithms<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Estimation of distribution algorithms<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Swarm intelligence methods such as ant colony and particle swarm optimisation<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Artificial immune systems<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Local search methods such as simulated annealing, tabu search, variable neighbourhood search, iterated local search, scatter search and path relinking<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Hybrid methods such as memetic algorithms<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Matheuristics (hybrids of exact and heuristic methods)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Hyper-heuristics and autonomous search<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Surrogate-model-based methods<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Notice that, by tradition, continuous\/numerical optimisation is <strong>*not*<\/strong> part of the topics of interest of EvoCOP.
