The University of Trieste was founded in 1924. It has recently started a project to expand the computer science area. Its beautiful location on top of a hill right behind the city offers an amazing view on the Adriatic sea and on the surrounding mountains. The main building is easily accessible using public transport in approximately 15 minutes from the city center.

Getting to campus from town
The Università degli Studi di Trieste is located about 3 kilometers from Piazza Unità d’Italia, the heart of the city. Below you will find some options to reach the venue. You can also visit the webpage of Trieste trasporti (Italian only).
By Bus:
There are several bus lines that can take you from the city center to the university.
- Common lines include: Line 3, Line 4, Line 17, Line 17/, and Line 51.
- Each of these lines has multiple stops through the city center, so you can find a nearby stop depending on your hotel or starting point.
- The bus ride takes about 10-15 minutes
- Tickets are available at local newsstands, via the “Trieste Trasporti” app or using a credit card directly on the bus
On Foot:
If you prefer to walk, the university is about a 35-40 minute walk uphill from Piazza Unità.
