Frequently Asked Questions
Q: I didn’t get a password for the session I want to attend, and Zoom is asking for it. When and/or where should I get it?
A: You will be getting the passwords for Rooms A, B and C on the morning (CET) of each day.
Q: Is there an upper bound for the size of the video?
A: 10 GB
Q: I have a small child at home that could interrupt me while I do my presentation. Could I request to have my video played, even though I am at the session?
A: Yes, you should contact your conference chairs in order to request it, and warn the session chair by joining the session before the official start time.
Q: What happens if I cannot be at the poster sessions, because of my time zone?
A: We have set up an early morning session on Friday 17th from 9:00 to 10:00 CET, that will suit better Asia-Pacific attendees.
Q: Will the presentations be available online after the conference?
A: All the presentations for which we have the authorization of the authors will be available in the SPECIES YouTube channel after the conference.
Q: How can I get a receipt that contains my institution’s VAT number, or other info?
A: Send an email to info (at) species-society.org including the following information: Full name of the institution, Billing address, VAT number, and any other information you want to appear in the receipt
Q: Can I get a certificate of attendance?
A: Yes, we will be sending them once we’ve finished with the reimbursements.
Q: When will I get my reimbursement?
A: First you need to fill in this form. We will start the reimbursing process the week starting April 20th – please allow us a few days to recover!
Q: Can I choose other options, rather than reimbursement?
A: Yes, you can save your excess fee for next year’s registration, or donate it to support SPECIES activities (in particular, scholarships). We will make the options available to you when we start the reimbursement process.
