What is it?
Are you ready for an exciting and informal opportunity to learn from some of the most renowned in the field of Evolutionary Computation? Join us on Thursday, April 4th, at 13:20 for our student workshop session, where you’ll have the chance to engage with distinguished experts in the field.
Our student workshop is designed to provide a lively, relaxed setting where you can interact with senior researchers in EvoStar (including recipients of the EvoStar Award for Outstanding Contribution to Evolutionary Computation in Europe), featuring Bing Xue, Colin Johnson, Conor Ryan, Emma Hart and Ernesto Costa. These researchers are eager to share their insights and experience with the upcoming generation of researchers and offer valuable guidance on how to excel in the field.
During the session, our invited experts will share their experiences, challenges, and how they surmounted them on their journey towards a successful career. They will offer advice on navigating various stages of a research career, aiming to inspire you to thrive amidst daily challenges. Additionally, you’ll have the opportunity to pose questions and receive expert advice, not only pertaining to your research but also regarding your life as a young researcher.
